Eligibility Requirements
  • Foreign language institute instructors, etc.

    Nationals of countries where the relevant foreign language is native language, with bachelor's degree or higher from countries where the relevant foreign language is native language

    Individuals with equivalent or higher education

    Qualifications recognized for high school or junior college graduates in native language country who obtained bachelor's degree or higher from domestic universities

  • Individuals recruited and selected under supervision of Ministry of Education or city/provincial superintendent of education

    Individuals intending to work at elementary, middle, and high schools

    Nationals of English-speaking countries with bachelor's degree or higher from home country

    English-speaking countries (7 countries): USA, UK, Canada, South Africa, New Zealand, Australia, Ireland

  • Allow English conversation instructors for spouses of professional personnel and international students from non-English-speaking countries

  • Certificate of visa issuance application
  • Passport
  • 1 standard photo
  • Officially confirmed academic certificate
  • Degree copy
  • Degree acquisition certificate
  • Submit one type among graduation certificate stating degree acquisition
  • Officially confirmed criminal record certificate issued by home country government: Must include criminal records throughout home country
  • Officially confirmed third country criminal record certificate: Submit if degree obtained in country other than home country
  • Apply home country criminal record certificate regulations
  • Self health confirmation
  • Employment contract: Minimum wage requirement: Above minimum wage for the year
  • Institute or organization establishment documents
  • Other reference materials necessary for examination: Instructor utilization plan, student and staff status
