Eligibility Requirements

  • General requirements

    Master's degree or higher in field related to introduction occupation

    Bachelor's degree in field related to introduction occupation + 1 or more years of experience in relevant field

    For individuals in advanced technology (IT), bio, nano, and other fields, recognize internship experience before graduation as work experience

    Individuals in advanced technology fields announced by Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy under Article 5 of Industrial Development Act

    5 or more years of work experience in field related to introduction occupation

  • Special requirements for preferential treatment

    Individuals with 1 or more years of professional occupation work experience at world's top 500 companies

    World-class university bachelor's degree holders: Permit if employment necessity recognized even without 1 or more years of major field experience requirement. Graduates of Times 200 universities and QS World University Rankings top 500 universities.

    Domestic junior college graduates: Exempt from 1 or more years of experience requirement when employed in introduction permitted occupations related to major; permit if employment necessity recognized.

    Domestic university bachelor's degree or higher holders: Regardless of major when employed in introduction permitted occupations; permit if employment necessity recognized. Bachelor's degree or higher holders exempted from 1 or more years of experience requirement. Work-study linked study abroad (D-2-7) visa graduates exempted from national employment ratio.

    High-income professional excellence: If annual total received remuneration is 3 times or more than previous year's per capita gross national income (GNI), exempt from both education and experience requirements regardless of occupation; employment recommendation from competent minister not required.

    Excellent private institution training completers: Individuals with overseas associate degree or higher who normally completed domestic training program (D-4-6, 20 or more months) in relevant major field and completed domestically recognized qualification certificate and Social Integration Program level 4 or higher permitted to change visa status for relevant major field (excluding E-7-4 field).

    Payment details certificate, tax payment certificate, local tax payment certificate

    Value-added tax taxable standard certificate

    4 major social insurance subscribers list, employment insurance subscribers list
