Eligibility Requirements
  • Individuals invited by Korean nationals or permanent residence (F-5) subparagraph E applicable individuals with addresses in Korea who are relatives within 8th degree of kinship or relatives by marriage within 4th degree
  • Individuals corresponding to persons of national merit and their bereaved families under the Act on Honorable Treatment and Support of Persons of Distinguished Service to the State, or individuals corresponding to independence patriots and their bereaved families or families under the Act on Honorable Treatment of Independence Patriots
  • Individuals with special contributions to Korea or who contributed to Korean national interest promotion
  • Parents and spouses of individuals enrolled for 1 or more semesters with Study (D-2) status
  • Individuals who voluntarily departed according to criteria and procedures determined by the Minister of Justice to maintain stay order of foreigners in Korea
  • Other individuals not corresponding to above selected according to procedures announced by the Minister of Justice

    If kinship relationship confirmed by domestic family register (family register copy): Korean family relationship record certificates (family relationship certificate, basic certificate, marriage relationship certificate) or family register copy necessary to prove kinship relationship

    If kinship relationship not confirmed by domestic family register (family register copy): Original (copy) of birth certificate or household register and resident ID; inviter's kinship relationship statement and identity guarantee; invitee's kinship relationship confirmation

  • Unrelated overseas Koreans

    Public documents from country of nationality proving overseas Korean status

  • Re-entry overseas Koreans after term expiration departure

    Public documents from country of nationality proving overseas Korean status

    Korean language proficiency documents

    Overseas criminal record certificate

    Submit health status confirmation handwritten by self when applying for visa at overseas embassy
