Hi, First off, this is an awesome platform! Am just curious to know if anyone managed to get a full time job even if they only manage to speak "basic" conversational Korean? I migrated here on a marriage visa and currently still learning Korea but would like to explore opportunities here. I have been working remotely since Jan for some international companies but keen to explore... "closer" options to where I reside. If anyone had any luck and experience applying, do let me know ! Thanks!

How basic is "basic"? 😊 I can’t speak from personal experience since I’m pretty fluent in Korean, but I had a colleague at a Korean company who struggled with the language. It definitely impacted the workflow and made team interactions harder for him. I’d suggest focusing on international companies expanding into Korea. Even if a Korean company is interested in your experience, communication barriers could hold you back. Good luck, though—hope you find what you’re looking for!
