Here is a brief introduction about me, I am a GKS-U student, and Many people have asked me, "Is it okay to do an internship during the semester?" Yes, it is! International students can work part-time or do an internship during semester because i did it last year. I did my internship during my last year of university in one of the largest startup hubs in Korea, similar to the "sandbox" you see in startup dramas, and it was really fun! Oh, but remember that there is a maximum of 30 hours of work per week if you work during the semester. So, I only worked twice a week on the days that I didn’t have any classes. And you can only work once you get your part-time work permission! Here’s how to apply: ✅ Prepare all the documents listed below: 1️⃣ Copy of the Certificate of Business Registration (사업자등록본 복사본) 2️⃣ Standard Employment Contract (표준근로계약서) 3️⃣ Part-Time Work of Foreign Student Confirmation (외국인유학생 시간제취업확인서) 4️⃣ Copy of your ARC (외국인등록증 복사본) 5️⃣ Copy of your Passport (여권 복사본) 6️⃣ Transcript of the previous semester (성적증명서) 7️⃣ Certificate of Registration (재학증명서) 8️⃣ Your current semester timetable (강의 시각표) 9️⃣ TOPIK Score (한국어능력시험 성적표) 🔟 Student ID Card (학생증 복사본) *) 1, 2, 3 are the documents from the company Bring all the documents listed above to the GSC (Global Service Center) on your campus to get the signature and approval from the international student representative for the “Part-Time Work of Foreign Student Confirmation” form. Once you get the approval, you can proceed to the immigration office. When you get the work permit, you can start your work! From my experience, everything was prepared and done by the company, and I also got the GSC approval just via email, so I didn’t visit the office. It really depends on your campus and company, so make sure to check everything first! ❗️For more details: https://gsc.korea.ac.kr/usr/international/part_time.do *) Note that each school may have different management and rules about working or intern during semester, in my case, Korea University's manager really helped me a lot.

Can also ask around your sonbe to get some opportunities. The moment I got to Masters here my sonbe offered me to work with him, let;s call it "internship" . Most of them are established and just trying to get better qualification, or connections in school
