ARC Issuance Fee has Increased

Starting January 1, 2025, foreign residence cards (previously known as Alien Registration Card or ARC) will be upgraded to include an electronic chip. Due to this enhancement, the issuance fee has increased from 30,000 KRW to 35,000 KRW. If you already have a valid residence card, you are not required to upgrade to the new version. However, the updated fee will apply if you choose to update your card or need a replacement due to loss.
