Hi I’m a Filipino who came to Korea 5 years ago as a tourist, currently working as a maid for a while. I’ve been living in Korea “illegally” ever since I landed here. I heard that Korean government starting to officially welcome maids from Philippines. Is there anyway to earn back visa status?

how are you sending money back to Philippines? Don’t you need local bank account to do this? which require valid visa….

This is why there is money sending apps :D I think they also cater for undocumented migrants.

You should ask and call 1345. I know my friends who were here illegaly received some help from the government a bit but they decided to leave korea anyways
