2025.04.04 19:14Hi! It’s me back again in this lovely lounge! ☺️
As we all are job hunters in this community, I would like to share some of the benefit checklists that you could consider before deciding to join the company
☘️ Visa sponsorship and processing support ☘️
Of course, since we all are foreigners, the most important thing for us in order to stay in Korea is VISA! So don’t forget the type of sponsored visa of each company. Generally, the visa types that could work in a Korean company are (D, E, and F)
☘️ Relocation package ☘️
This one is only supported by some of the company in Korea, mostly supported in the EPS type of work but still! This benefit could help save your cost while living in Korea A LOT!
Type of relocation support:
> Moving allowance
> Temporary accommodation
> Assistance finding permanent housing
☘️ Cultural orientation and integration ☘️
Usually provided by a major firm, which could help you work and live in Korean culture more easily. But from my personal experience, we rarely have a chance to use it 😂
example of the cultural orientation:
> Language classes
> Cultural training
> Local community connections
> Buddy/mentor program with local colleagues
> Self-development classes
☘️ Healthcare considerations ☘️
For all the expats living in Korea, we are required to pay for at least international health insurance. For this part, you might have to check carefully as some company will assist you on paying the insurance (deducted from your salary) or you have to handle it by yourself.
☘️ Home leave benefits ☘️
This benefit might be extra for some company for the foreigner as we would visit our family in the home country from time to time.
example:
> Annual flight home
> Extra vacation days for international travel
> Flexible work arrangements around home visits
In summary
🚨 Check list!:🚨
General benefit -
✅ 4 major insurance (4대보험)
✅ Annual day-off by labors laws (at least 15 days a year)
✅ Visa sponsorship
Extra benefit -
✅ Relocation package / accommodation provided
✅ Monetary support (cultural expense, flight ticket to home country)
✅ Cultural orientation and integration
✅ Snack bar
✅ Extra day off (birthday, sandwich day)
✅ Work from home
Save this list! and good luck with your new journey in Korea! 💪🏻 🇰🇷

9개월 전Great information! I also would like to add some conditions that may be something you may want to look for. As someone who has been working in Korea, severance pay(퇴직금) may be another benefit you may want to consider. Once you quit your job, you can get some amount of money depending on how long you have worked for that company. I hadn't worked in the company that offers severance pay so I was kinda regret when I quitted the job.
Hope this helps!
