I’m happy to announce that I survived working at a Korean company for a year, haha and I just extended my E-7 visa a week ago! To be honest, it wasn’t that difficult or complicated. I just had to collect all the documents, go to the immigration office, and submit everything. But before I tell you what documents to bring, here are some tips from me: Make sure to book your appointment with the immigration office early, I booked mine 2 months in advance. Try to book the earliest time slot (9:00 AM), because the appointments often get delayed later in the day. Okay, so here are the documents I needed to extend E-7 visa: *개인: - 여권 (+사본) - 외국인등록증 (+사본) - 학위증 또는 자격증 - 수수료 6만원 현금 - 통합 신청서 - 체류지 임증 서류 - 임대차 계약서 * 회사: - 고용계약서 (원본 및 사본) - 고용필요성 입증서류 - 재직증명서 - 사업자등록증 (사본) - 사원보증서 (원본) - 근로소득원천징수영수증 - 고용주 납부내역증명, 납세증명서, 지방세 납부증명서 - 납부내역증명서 - 지방세납세증명서 - 고용보험피보험자격 취득 내역 (사업장용) In my case, some of these documents need to be requested from the finance and HR teams, so prepare them as early as possible. But don’t worry, if you miss one document, the immigration office will usually ask you to send it separately by FAX on the same day you apply.
