First I noticed, this app is so simple and user friendly. Upon signing up, I was automatically enrolled into my neighborhood by GPS. This made the experience a personal one because I was only interacting with people who lived in my immediate proximity. You can scroll through different categories, such as electronics, clothes, furniture, even food on the app.
What I loved was the system was trust-based. Sellers and buyers rate each other, and because everyone is part of the same community, there is accountability. The seller of a small home appliance I bought had a prompt reply in the in-app chat. We agreed to meet at a point just 5 minutes away from my flat, which was perfect!
The prices on karrot are usually a lot cheaper than on some retail store and you can always haggle. Nearly 50% off for my purchaseand product in perfect condition. and also there is a lot of free prdouct such as sofa, miror clothes and others. But the app is mainly in Korean, the only downside of it, which can require foreigners to have some language assistance.
In short, shopping with karrot was safe, budget-friendly, and community-focused. It is not just a matter of buying and selling, but also of building trust among neighbors. If you live in Korea, I highly recommend you give Karrot a try you never know what treasure might be just around the corner.
