Not that safe (scam) jobs in Korea

This was a conversation topic for me and a group of my friends last night. I thought I could share with the community here as well 😅 some jobs can be physically dangerous such as construction, factory, or delivery work. Although they might seem not that safe people don't get scammed that much The ones that can be scammy, not sure if this is an actual word, are the ones where there are lots of language barriers and when employers use foreigners just because they're foreigners. Such as teaching English or some other subjects in private hagwons (academies). Not all but some employers don't give full-payment, pay the paycheck very late and instances like this. Entertainment industry is kind of similar as well. Sometimes the job description is quite unclear, and the payment can be done months after the project is completed. I doubt they wouldn't do that to a Korean person. Lastly, don't search for a job on craigslist!! It's not safe and lots of people can get scammed easily just by messaging to the post owner through kakaotalk 😭 so be careful. So I suggest you use platforms like this one Klik, Albamon to find the a safe job and employer for you. If anything happens call 119 right away
